Shadows / Mantrap

Now 2019 is well and truly under way, we are back with a new production to entertain you, this time a double-bill of two one-act plays.

First up is Shadows, written by Josephine Carter, which explores the life of Erica, an elderly lady living alone in a single room in her home, happy with her memories.  When her family comes to visit and move her to a home for the retired, the past is ever present, but who is shadow and who is not?

Changing the tone after the interval, Mantrap, written by Paul Reakes, is a thriller which begins with Trevor, who is relaxing alone at home when a distressed girl begs for his help, claiming to be the victim of an attack.  What follows challenges Trevor as things escalate to include petty larceny, manslaughter and an elaborate form of blackmail.

Tickets are now on sale and can be booked through The Centralians’ Box Office by calling Mrs J Thorpe on (01923) 227392, emailing or purchased at the door on your preferred night.
